More Spring Break!

First of all just a few fun things about Chase. As we were driving home a few days ago, Chase saw his arm hairs on his arms from the sunlight and excitiedly announced, "I HAVE FEATHERS!!" A few days after that, Chase was getting a hair cut from my mom and as his hair fell to the floor he said, "my feathers are falling!" Too silly. Right now he is at the stage that when he is alone he really gets his imagination going and just talks and plays all in his own world. It is so fun to listen and watch him. Right now he is carrying around a belt and he has a "goggie" (doggy) attached to the "leash" having a good ol time. Ha. His favorite song to sing and act out right now is "5 little monkeys jumping on the bed..." And last, he LOVES LOVES LOVES to play hide and go seek. He is so silly. He will have you count while he hides and all the while you're counting Chase is either giggling and wiggling in his hiding spot or counting with you...needless to say it's not hard to find him. =) Then you hide, right in front of his face, and he counts to 3 then will walk around saying "hmm..where is she?" Then, will get so excited to "find" you. He is too much fun!

Okay on to Spring Break...we had a WONDERFUL time seeing family and friends. Beth and Jarom had us over to dinner one night and it was the first time I got to see Addison...how precious! And after traveling and eating out for a few meals, it was good to have a yummy home cooked meal and some YUMMMMY cookies!! Thanks guys!
Thursday night Chase and I got to go to dinner and the park with one of the greatest girls in the world, Courtney. Chase LOVED Courtney and we had a fun time! After that, we ran over to another great girls house, Jessica's, to visit. Two of my best girlfriends from Bama! It was fun to see them and catch up on everything!Next, I must document Beautiful. Beautiful is a bird that Carden (the little animal lover) found injured in her backyard on Thursday afternoon. Well, come Friday Beautiful passed on to a better place, and luckily I was there to document the funeral of Beautiful the Bird. Carden was quite heartbroken, but her and I sat down on the couch and had a little talk about how Beautiful was now in a better place and she isn't suffering anymore. Carden is so sweet and just loves animals to death...(literally most of the time).

I believe Beautiful has already passed on in the picture...

Beautiful's ceremony.

I just love Chase's hand around Nathan's neck! =)

One of the best parts about going home was getting to see these two together. They have been best little buds from the start. When I was still living in Alabama, Chase and I spent most of our days with Alisha, Emma, and Nathan whether it was to just hang out, scrapbook, go to the gym or preschool, or even the fun days where we went to EarlyWorks or to the park. I must say that has probably been one of the hardest parts about moving, but now it really makes for a fun vacation back to see all the family there in Alabama.

The two boys actually sat in the cart for most of our shopping trip to Target. They were so cute together and had fun just giggling at eachother's faces.

Friday evening, we had a girls night at Alisha's with all the sisters, aunts, neices, cousins, and nuna's. It was fun to be together as just girls (minus Chase and Nathan). We enjoyed some pizza and again, yummy cookies from Beth. We watched the movie The Game Plan and did pedicures (much needed for me!) and Carden, Abby, and Savannah (above) each did a facial! We had a fun time, even with two little boys there trying to get pedicures!

Chase and Nuna getting pedicures!

Another highlight, was getting to see sweet little Kenadie! She is so teeny! She loves her daddy!Emma diligently pushed Chase on the swing. She even went underneath the swing to give Chase a "super push"!

We got to decorate eggs at Alisha and Nate's. Although Chase was sick, he still really got into the egg decorating and has made it a point to tell everyone that he got to "color eggs!"

Look at those sick little eyes! Poor baby! Friday he came down with a runny nose and slowly got worse. He had a fever and just a nasty cough. I think he got a sinus infection and ANYTIME any type of congestion occurs, his asthma acts up and it's just a mess. He will get to coughing and then eventually will throw up...as he did in the middle of the easter egg hunt. Nathan had a fun time decorating eggs! (and tasting the die too! Love the blue mustache!)

Egg drop soup ala Nathan.

Abby helping Addie decorate her first easter egg.Carden and Abby decorating eggs.

Nuna and Chase decorating eggs with Bee Movie stickers.

Emma enjoying our yummy dinner provided by Alisha and Beth. Alisha made DELICIOUS grilled chicken caesar sandwiches and other sides and beth brought an amazing fruit salad! We were getting together to let the kids celebrate Easter together and for my momma's 49th birthday. It was that day (the 22nd) and we had a fun time. I took video and the only picture I took of mom and her delicious angel food cake (with strawberries) wasn't the best. It is a classic picture of mom...but I will spare her this time! ;)Afterwards, we did our Easter egg hunt, and like I said before, Chase lost his dinner in the middle of it all, but had a fun time finding the eggs. He understood a little bit more what was going on this year and had a fun time while he was feeling okay. Addie also got to go Easter egg hunting for her first time!

Thanks everyone for a fun week! We love you guys!

First Part of Spring Break Fun and a Little Bit More!

Well, first of all X started a new job on Monday at Garrett Law Office. He is the new receptionist there and so far is loving it. We have a guy in our ward, Logan Jones, who works there and told X of the job and has been a huge help with the whole job thing. Luckily, this job became available, because shortly before X applied to work for a bus plant here in Tulsa. A few days after he applied, this receptionist job came about and we had better feeling about it, so we took it...well...come to find out ALL temporaries at the bus plant had been cut this week and all full time employees hours were cut to 30 hours a week..at most! Luckily, the Lord was looking out for us and helped us into a much better job! So like I said, X is loving it so far and it has been a HUGE blessing for us!!

Oh and my due date is October 19! I will be 10 weeks tomorrow! =)
For Spring Break we got to go back to Alabama. The first part of the week we headed down to Mobile to visit X's Aunt Lisa and Uncle Brian and their little boy Bryce. We had a great time with them and Chase LOVED Bryce and all of his toys!On Monday, we drove down to Gulf Shores for Chase's (and my...that I can remember) first visit to the beach! HOW BREATHTAKING! WOW! The first day we were there it was overcast and windy...but there's no stoppin these future beach bums! Ha. We had a wonderful time. On the way down we stopped at Tanger Outlets and did some fun shopping. We then had dinner at Lambert's (where they throw the rolls and bring around pile-on's) It was pretty yummy, the atmosphere was fun. Then, finally, we made it to the beach and had some fun digging in the sand, feeding the seagulls, finding seashells, and running from the cold waves! That night, X and I got to spend the evening in a beachfront hotel and it was so fun. The next day the weather was beautiful and stupid me didn't have my camera out on the beach. But, we had a great time acting like little kids playing in the waves and on the beach. I got fried within an hour, but it was all worth it! We got to go back to the beach as soon as possible! =)

Sandy toes!

Getting ready for a big wave to come!

News!

Well, this week has been quite the hectic one. X and I rented our first apartment together this past weekend and so all week, with the help of my wonderful mom and family, we have been moving into our new little apartment. It's not top of the line, but it is still pretty nice and it's starting to get cozy. We got a 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom apartment at a place called the Lodge. So far it seems nice. The first day we were there when we were in the clubhouse signing all the papers, Chase kept saying "dis is my house and these are my chairs." What a goober. When we finally got into out actual apartment he was pretty excited. I still don't know if he quite knows what all is going on, but he seems to be adjusting pretty well.

Also...X and I found out a little bit ago that we are going to have a baby! Yep, I'm pregnant! Wow! We are so excited. It will be fun for Chase to have a little sibling to play with and overwhelm. ;) I know he will be a great big brother though. We have talked to him some about a new baby coming and he is totally enthralled by baby dolls now and he loves to hug and kiss my belly. The other day he said "Mommy, I wike the baby...it not cries." I just giggled. Oh little boy, you just don't know what's coming! =) We are excited though and we know this will be wonderful for us and Chase!

Me and X...forever!

How long have you been together? Ha...well we first met when I was in 8th grade and X was in 7th in PE class. We were on and off for a little bit then we were serious for while and you all know what happened and then after all the mess we got back together and dated for a year and then we were engaged for like 3 weeks and now married for a little bit more than 7 months!

How long did you date? Oh whoops....read above...

How old is he? 19 almost 20.

Who eats more? I eat more sweets but X in general eats more, especially lately I haven't had much of an appetite.

Who said "I love you" first? I THINK it was X and we were like 14 haha...does that count?

Who is taller? X is as long as I don't wear heels. Boo.

Who sings better? Haha...Well, to be completely honest, neither of us. We both suck...big time.

Who is smarter? Hmm..well, it's not that X is dumb because he isn't, seriously...he just hates school and struggles with it...but I would say he has more common sense...I'm just being honest here.

Who does the laundry? Well, to be honest my mom...we were living with her so she took care of it because she doesn't mind doing it, and I am sure now every so often she will do it, but for the most part I will go to the laundro mat or whatever it's called.

Who does the dishes? We both do. X is really good about helping clean up. He is a hard worker and wants to get things done.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? X does if you are looking at it...closer to the door...keeps me safe. =)

Who pays the bills? Mostly me. I hate bills. In fact, I hate money.

Who mows the lawn? Well X would a lot at mom's house, but now that we don't have a lawn anymore no one, but I know X will...he sort of likes to do it and he's good at it!

Who cooks dinner? Me, unless we are at mom's now, but I love to help her and LOVE to cook! X is pretty good at heating things up and making them yummy! (chicken strips, taquitos)

Who is more stubborn? Hmm...we both are pretty stubborn. It just depends on our moods and the situation but I would say for the most part we balance eachother out with this because when one is stubborn the other isn't....usually...

Who kissed who first? X did. In the hall at Liberty Middle School...oh man!

Who asked who out? X. Technically our first "date" was when I was 16 for my birthday, but he asked me out during PE in 7th/8th grade...haha.

Who is more sensitive? ME...by a long shot. Especially right now, I'm on a rollercoaster. X sometimes is a little sensitive, but I think I pass him up on this one...

Who has more friends? Well I think we are pretty equal. But, in Alabama it seems like everywhere we go X knows AT LEAST 2 people, or they know him.

Who has more siblings? Definitely me. I have 5 sisters and 2 brothers and X only has 1 brother.

Who are you tagging? Well I am pretty sure I am the last one to do this because I needed something to blog about...but if you haven't done it DO IT! It's not as bad as you think! =)
